She lives in the mountains of Utah with her husband, a veteran, her dog Gunner, and two kittens, Hunter and Oreo. She hikes most weekends, travels whenever she can, and plans entire trips around restaurants. When she's home, you'll find her at the symphony or a play.
The first book she ever bought was Winnie-the-Pooh, paid for with babysitting money when she was nine. Before she wrote books, she raised two sons — years of ball fields, campgrounds, and a house that was never quiet. Both followed their own path into the military, and both are what she's most proud of.
